Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
